"Vertebrae, primary components of the human body. This piece represents the development of various elements fitted together to create a single form, minimal in both shape and colour. A study of the human body, the vertebrae themselves inspired the shape of the ceramic mold which created this work.
The vertebrae, the spinal column: source of movement, thought, and life. Balance, harmony, one's physicality in space, the well-spring of creation - all find their origins here. The vertebrae, both as a literal subject and as a concept in and of itself: a form which unites disparate components into a fuctioning whole. Consequently, this exploration is carried into the clay itself, exploring its fullest expression and possibility". Ilias Christopoulos, Greece
